Worth its weight in gold! This is my favourite book on interior design theory and I can't recommend it highly enough. The author Walter Pater studied Classics at Oxford University, and was interested in philosophy and ancient history and culture. Unlike some "flying" books that disappoint, this one really does have lots of details about his flights, plus he shares details about his encounter with the Lord, his beyond-and-back experience, and sharing his faith. Natura nihil facit persaltum; and in the history of philosophy there are no absolutebeginnings. The horrors the author puts Alex and Sarah, the main characters in this story, are astounding! Yet, they manage to cling to the only thing that gives them strength, their love for one another. It will stand alone, but why would you deprive yourself when there are two breathtaking books to read about these lovely women.
